SOUNDSCAPE COMPOSITION

 For my soundscape composition, I chose the Shanghai Riverside Promenade as the field and recorded the various sounds I discovered in the field.  I chose this filed because it is a place which can hear the most iconic and representative sound of Shanghai. This symbolic bell has been rung in that place for nearly 100 years, which also represents a part of the history of my hometown. It’s a place which people can hear the sounds of nature as well.  Besides, it is a place full of my memories. When I was a child, my family often took me there for a walk. When I grew up, I often went there with my friends. So the Riverside Promenade means a lot to me.
